Special Events

Thomas himself at Llangollen Station for a “Day out with Thomas Event”

Llangollen Railway stage a range of special events.  These will change, year on year, according to popularity. Previous years have included WWII Weekends, Holiday Haunts Weekends, Teddy Bears Picnics etc

 

Some events are, of course permanent; including:

 

Friends of Thomas the Tank Engine  - three per year to fit in with school timetables.

 

Santa Specials - starting normally on the first weekend in December and continuing until Christmas Eve (depending on that year’s calendar)

 

Mince Pie Specials - run between Christmas and New Year

 

Also Galas for Steam, Diesel Locomotive and Diesel Railcar enthusiasts are run each year.
